In Sri Lanka, a significant socio-economic and educational divide exists among children entering Grade 1. Early childhood education or preschool is private and accessible to only privileged children, leaving underprivileged children without access to early childhood education.
This leads to a knowledge gap between privileged children and underprivileged children when entering Grade 1 in primary school.
This knowledge gap leads to poor performance, low self-esteem, and higher dropout rates in primary school amongst underprivileged children.
By offering free early childhood education to underprivileged children and providing critical infrastructure and resources—such as school buildings, qualified teachers, uniforms, supplies, nutritious food, and essential life skills—we can bridge the knowledge gap, eliminate dropout rates in primary schools, and ensure that all underprivileged children in Sri Lanka have equal opportunities for a brighter future.
We create free access to early education by constructing and/or renovating preschools in underserved areas, ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn.
We hire qualified preschool teachers with competitive pay and provide transportation from city areas to schools in remote areas, guaranteeing a quality education for all.
We provide school uniforms, supplies, and nutritious foods, ensuring children have the tools and resources to succeed.
We help children develop essential skills through structured routines, group activities, and play. Our programs are designed to enhance time-management, participation, collaboration, and hand-eye coordination. We equip children with the knowledge and skills they need for a brighter future, while making school fun and exciting.
