1. Office Administrator

Sumi Foundation  is providing free early childhood education and life essentials to underprivileged children, empowering them with the same foundational knowledge and confidence as their privileged peers to prepare them for Grade 1 and beyond, thereby reducing dropout rates in primary schools.

We are currently seeking a qualified Office Administrator to join our team. The Office Administrator will be an excellent communicator with great time management skills and attention to detail. You will manage daily responsibilities such as organizing meetings with local government officials and educational officials, producing required documentation for various departments, and handling data entry and electronic filing. This is a fully remote position that requires fluency in English, Tamil, and Sinhalese.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide administrative support to Sumi Foundation and its employees.
  • Scheduling meetings with local government officials and educational officials.
  • Communicating with local governmental officials and educational officials, teachers, and Sumi Foundation employees via email, in addition to responding to general inquiries.
  • Coordinating travel arrangements for Sumi Foundation employees, teachers and students when required.
  • Creating and updating documentation. 
  • Data entry and electronic filing when required.
  • Make Phone calls for day-to-day activities as needed. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role.   
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is a must. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must be fluent in English, Tamil, and Sinhalese (both written and verbal).
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. ​
